This patented 3-D adaptive pick-and-place compensation system optimizes the picking and the placement in X, Y and Z. It compensates for board bow and twists on placement and optimizes the Z travels, giving more speed without stressing the machines.

Component Pick up:

automatic Z adjustment Component Pick Up is compensated in X, Y and Z for each component type individually.
As feeder is fitted on the machine it is detected and the machine will then scan for its exact location.
By automatically adjusting the pick height there is less chance of nozzle bounce and hence, less miss picks.
No need for manual picking adjustments
Extemely fast product change-overs

Component placement:

The 3DPS™ system also compensates for board bow and twist on placement.
Placement height is adjusted to reflect a similar board height to adjacent components.
More precise placement height gives greater placement accuracy.
